Dental implants
A small post takes the place of a missing root, and a crown is fitted on top. For adults, at our Balanga, Orion and Arayat clinics.
Step by step
From the first X-ray to the crown.
Illustrations only. Every case is different, and results differ from person to person.
Consultation, scan and X-ray
A digital scan and a panoramic X-ray show whether there is enough healthy bone and where the post should go. You hear the plan and the cost at your consultation, before anything starts.
Bone graft, if you need one
Some people need bone added before an implant can be placed. If you do, the dentist explains this after seeing your X-ray.
The post is placed
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic. A small post is placed where the root of the tooth was.
Healing, with a temporary tooth
The bone needs time to hold the post firmly. You can wear a temporary tooth over the gap while you heal.
The crown is fitted
When healing is complete, a crown is fitted on top. From post to crown usually takes about three to six months.
